LA CROSSE, WI. VONRUDEN, K.- Exciting news unfolded recently in the La Crosse area bridal industry when local business owner Debra Lash was elected President of the MBBA. The Midwest Bridal Buyers Association(MBBA) is a non-profit organization for bridal professionals, whose stated goals are to develop personal business relationships, to support bridal markets, and to promote stronger business relationships with other industry professionals through education and an exchange of ideas. The MBBA was formed in 1982 and officially incorporated in 1986. Although membership is not limited to the Midwest, they do only allow one store per 50 mile radius, and currently have 9 Associate Members and 42 Retail Members nationwide, of which La Crosse’s very own “Wedding Tree” bridal salon, owned by Debra Lash, is a part of. Each summer the MBBA meets at the Americasmart Prom Market in Atlanta and again in the fall for the Chicago Bridal Market where they hold their main annual convention and gather for seminars and social events that promote education and profitability throughout the industry. This year at the annual convention, local business owner, Debra Lash of the Wedding Tree in downtown La Crosse, received the great honor of being elected the MBBA President. Debra has owned the Wedding Tree since 1996 and moved the store to its current location at 418 Main Street in 1998. She has been an active member of the Midwest Bridal Buyers Association since her debut in the bridal industry. This is an amazing opportunity for Deb Lash, and an exciting prospect for the La Crosse area to have such an excellent business professional leading one of our downtown stores.
We are very excited to be a part of this prestigious honor and from all the staff at the Wedding Tree we congratulate our wonderful owner, Deb Lash!
